North West Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disorders Commissioning Network

November 18th 2016 Chancellors Hotel

Outcomes and value based commissioning in rheumatology

We are delighted to invite you to the inaugural London network meeting - the sixth in a number of successful regional commissioning network events, to be chaired by Dr Peter Lanyon, BSR President (TBC)

Developed by the British Society for Rheumatology (BSR) and NHiS, the networks aim to support the ongoing development of high quality, outcomes-focused and value-for-money commissioning services. They bring together like-minded people from primary and secondary care, and associated organisations involved in the commissioning and delivery of services to care for and support patients with rheumatic and musculoskeletal conditions. This provides a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to cope with the commissioning challenges encountered in rheumatology in a more integrated way.

Feedback from previous meetings:

“Round table discussions very helpful” “Very informative and very interesting” “Excellent networking opportunity” “Offers the 'headroom' for clinical leaders across the region to get together”

Recommended by previous delegates to attend:

“Fellow commissioners", “MSK Commissioning GPs”, “Service managers”, “Clinical lead in CCG for MSK and Rheumatology”, "Contracting team"

The North West network meeting will focus on:

  • Commissioning for Rheumatic and MSK (Chronic Care) Disorder Services
  • Best practice examples for commissioning Rheumatic and Musculoskeletal Disorders

Full agenda to follow. Email the NHiS Events Team to register your interest now.
