Wessex Neurology Intelligence Report Launch

April 19th 2016 The Grand Habour Hotel

CLAHRC-Wessex

We are delighted to announce the launch of the Wessex Strategic Clinical Network Neurology Intelligence Data Report in April.

It is a simple fact but to date there has been relatively little use of data to help support service redesign strategy in neurology. Things are now changing with the development of the Neurology Intelligence Network, but until fairly recently service data has been hard to access, and difficult to analyse in clinically meaningful ways. NHiS Commissioning Excellence has worked with the Wessex CLAHRC and Wessex SCN to routinely collect Hospital Episode Statistics (HES) data to try and develop a clearer picture of neurology service provision in Wessex and we are delighted to invite you to the launch of the report.

The report links neurology data analysis with practical examples of how service delivery has been improved in other areas across the country, so as to encourage and facilitate efforts in Wessex. The meeting will expand on this further and where CCGs and providers need to focus effort for the future.

The meeting will bring together like minded people from primary and secondary care across Wessex SCN and associated organisations involved in the commissioning and delivery of neurology services to better support patients with neurological conditions. This will provide a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to cope with the commissioning challenges which are being encountered in neurology in a more integrated way.
