Further to the resounding success of the regional Neurological Commissioning Networks launched last year, the West Midlands Neurological Commissioning Network will hold its second meeting in May. The network supports the commissioning of high quality, outcomes focused and value for money neurology services.

The aim of the networks is to bring together like minded people from primary and secondary care, and associated organisations involved in the commissioning and delivery of services to care for and support patients with neurological conditions. This provides a platform for active discussion and exchange of ideas to cope with the commissioning challenges encountered in neurology in a more integrated way.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday 10th May 2016 chaired jointly by Professor Adrian Williams, Professor of Clinical Neurology University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust & Senior Advisor, Parkinson’s Society and Mrs Sue Thomas, Chief Executive of NHiS Commissioning Excellence.

The sessions will focus on:

  • The Future Neuroscience National Structures and Expert Advisory Group Updates
  • Transforming Neurology Services – How Local CCGs are Effecting Change in the West Midlands
